DISCOVER URBINO
The Renaissance comes to life.
Urbino is a city to explore slowly. Its lanes, stairways and sweeping views tell the story of one of the most remarkable periods in Italian culture: the Renaissance.
At the court of Federico da Montefeltro, art, architecture and humanist thought helped transform Urbino into an important cultural centre. The Ducal Palace, with its twin towers, houses the National Gallery of Le Marche and masterpieces by Piero della Francesca, Raphael and Paolo Uccello.
Urbino is also the city of the young Raphael, Giovanni Santi’s workshop, historic oratories and winding streets. Its medieval fabric was transformed by Renaissance culture: a story to read through places, works of art and the people behind them.
